We managed to catch up with Ke "Mo" Liu, whose TyLoo have just played their international debut against Luminosity, which ended with the Brazilians winning 16-7 on Mirage.
TYLOO came out from their international debut with seven rounds against Luminosity despite starting 0-11 on Mirage, and are waiting for tomorrow's match-up against the loser of MOUZ and Liquid.
We grabbed the Chinese in-game leader, Ke "captainMo" Liu for a text interview to find out a little more about the team's practice, what they're looking to gain from the event, and goals for the future. A member of the organization, Marshall Ceong Law helped us with translating the interview.
Let's start with your practice regime, how have you used your practice time in general?
We have a gaming house and we just brought a new teammate, a new player about 2-3 months ago, so we're still trying to find a way to play to match every player's playing style. For this tournament we haven't had any special tactics or any special preparation, we want to see our distance with the world class teams.

How much have you been able to look at the other teams then, if at all?
We have been watching a lot of demos for each team and we did some research on each player's playstyle and what their habits are. But the main thing was to keep our own playstyle.
What do these qualifiers mean to you, and getting to fare against European and American teams?
Like I said, we just brought a new player in three months ago, so we're still a new team. Our thinking is that it's a really big chance for us to see what the world class teams are like. For most of our players it's their first time playing at a world-class tournament, so it's like a test we can gain more experience from.
Talking about experience, do you think the teams that you have in your group will help you with that, considering you have a top two team in Luminosity and two others that aren't considered elite?
This group stage is perfect for us, because like you said one of those teams is one of the best, but the others aren't the best. The first match, to play against Luminosity, it's a really good chance for us to learn from them, and also after that, we're quite confident to try to see if we can win against Liquid or mousesports.
After this tournament you were planning to stay in Europe for a bootcamp. Did that work out? What are you aiming to do with this bootcamp?
We planned to have a bootcamp and reached out to fnatic and NiP to train with them, but unfortunately due to visas we can only stay here for about 10 days, so we can't have a bootcamp, but maybe next time we will have one.
Looking at the future, what are you trying to accomplish in the next 3-6 months?
We have a goal this year to be a top eight team in the world.
